Notes:

• the progression on this dance is somewhat unusual, in that you will end with your original partner after the 2nd and 4th repeats of the dance. However, because the active couples (tops on 1st and 2nd repeats, sides on 3rd and 4th) dance with two partners each time through, each person will meet all partners, after four repeats.
• during the ladies swap in A2, it is important that the men stand fairly far apart with hands just touching, in order to leave enough room for the ladies to turn under their raised arms. The ladies turn clockwise, passing face to face, to swap partners.
• at the end of the wheel in B1, the men should back out to place whilst turning the ladies in for their RH-star. This star has plenty of time, so the wheel before should not be rushed.
• during the courtesy turn in B2, the man stands still facing in, whilst leading the lady turning clockwise to back under his left arm round behind him, and then walking forward round to ballroom position. This is the courtesy turn used at the end of the north country ladies chain. This should lead straight into the reverse swing to start again.
• the dance was written for the Summer Dancing in the Park series, organized by John Garden for the MFMS.
